The CE mark affixed to a product signifies that the manufacturer certifies that the product conforms to the relevant European Directive(s) and is obligatory for a product, subject to one or more of the European Directives, before it can be freely distributed within the European Community.
- The CE mark is intended solely for national market control authorities.
- The CE mark must not be confused with a conformity marking.
